Anne loves Christmas and Frosty the Snowman so for our ornament this year we did Snowman Ornaments! These are super easy and are a great kids craft or you could whip up a bunch to give as teacher gifts, neighbor gifts, etc. Check Out the Easy Snowman Ornament Tutorial Below to Make Your Own!
I let Anne make her ornament all by herself and her Frosty has a nice sly smile 🙂
Here’s what you’ll need:
– White ornaments (I found mine at Wal-Mart in a combo pack with red and green)
-Pom poms
-Pipe Cleaners
-Paint: orange and black
-Glue: We tried tacky glue but hot glue ended up being easier
1. Decide on a color for your ear muffs and cut your pipe cleaner down so it will cover about the top 1/3-1/2 of the ornament. Hot glue the pipe cleaner in place and cover the 2 ends with pom poms
2. I let Anne paint the face on herself using a q-tip. It was a little easier for her to control than a paint brush. We practiced doing the little dots for the eyes and mouth first on a paper plate but she ended up doing her smile all in one swipe which was fine 🙂
Have fun!
