Rustic Thanksgiving Table Setting

Just a couple more weeks until Thanksgiving! This is our first year hosting so I was super excited to make it a nice and memorable dinner for everyone! As a blogger in the Celebrate the Season Campaign for Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts I was able to pick up everything I needed in one shopping trip and get busy decorating my Rustic Thanksgiving Table Setting!
I’m sure you’ve seen this darling fox print floating around the web and I was lucky enough to grab a couple yards of it for my napkins. I love how it ties into the rustic theme and adds a touch of fun. I used the tutorial from Girl.Inspired to sew mine up and I love how they turned out. Very easy and fun project
I really wanted to be able to see the wood table so instead of a table cloth I went with place mats (check out the Reversible Place Mat tutorial). I went with a Christmas print on the reverse side so we can use these again in December
My Fat Quarter Pumpkins from a few weeks ago matched everything perfectly so I was excited to use them a bit longer! On the big day they’ll have to move to make way for food but it’s nice having the table decorated throughout the morning
To finish off the table I made a quick and easy rustic table runner
With just a touch of gold running through it for a bit of holiday festivity 🙂

Cut a piece of burlap or monk’s cloth (what I used) to 12 x 48″. You can of course vary the dimensions to best fit your table.
Sew all the way around the runner 1″ in. Repeat with a 2nd row of stitching using a zig-zag stitch. Now just pull on the loose ends to get a nice frayed edge.

Use a yarn needle to thread some ribbon through the weave of the fabric. I used a 5 yard spool of 3/8″ gold ribbon. For a tighter weave fabric I would use 1/4″ ribbon
Tie in a bow at each end and you’re finished!
Add it to your table and get ready to eat!

    1. I just open it up in a new tab and hit print and it works fine. Maybe you are low on ink? You can try searching for “turkey tablescapes” for other participating bloggers and maybe one of their coupons will work for you
