School is out and the kids are running wild which means it’s time to plan some summer fun!
Plan out some exciting craft projects to do with your kids this summer with Joanns!
After browsing the Cape Discovery catalog for project ideas Anne settled on the tye dye tote bag

You know you want to 🙂
We picked up our tye dye party pack, iron-on letters and a tote bag at Joanns and we were ready to roll!
The tye dye kit includes everything you need and there’s enough dye for up to 10 shirts. The dye is a one-time use sort of deal so grab some friends and do a bunch of projects at once 🙂 We decided to just use blue and green and save our other dyes for another day.
The kit includes instructions for different tye dye patterns (swirly, stripes, etc.). Since Anne was helping me we just decided to wing it and went crazy with our rubber bands 🙂
The bag is on the left and we also did a shirt
And then I set her loose with the dye which she was super excited about
After washing out the excess dye and letting it dry we added our letters. We’re using this for the library summer reading program so we added “READ” to our bag. She filled it up with books and is ready to go!
I think this bag might hold a bit more than can she lift 🙂
