Growing up we had a wood nativity puzzle and I adored it. When I found one at the thrift store I was in heaven!
Then I discovered it was a the thrift store because a piece was missing 🙁 Thankfully my MIL is good with wood and made a replacement for me and then painted the entire set. Cannot even begin to tell you how much I love it!
If you have a woodworker in the family start begging them to make this for you 🙂 Or I found you can still buy this set. I just did a google search for “wood nativity puzzle”
I love it in the natural wood but having it painted by someone we love makes it all the more special

My Mom designed these originally, back in the day. It’s fun to see that they are still around!
I have this puzzle, too! Although it is all natural. I bought it at a swapmeet almost 30 years ago from a woodworker. the actual pattern is in a Better Homes and Gardens Christmas book from the late 70’s- early 80’s. I ‘ve had it forever, too. The painting is adorable on yours. I asked my 14DS year old if we should paint ours. He said no, too cute! LOL
that is lovely!!!
I would have never of thought to buy this with a missing piece! Brilliant! Love it.
