Just a Peek: Bribery???

This darling little girl isn’t a big fan of food…
But… she is a big big fan of Winnie the Pooh!
So our new tactic to get her to eat and occasionally even try something new is singing a song from Winnie the Pooh. It’s like putting a quarter in a juke box- 1 bite, 1 line of tunes:)
It makes for some hilarious meal times since we tend to forget all of the words…
What do you do to get your little munchkins to eat???
On a side note…did you see the new movie? We just went to it in the dollar theater and it drove me crazy- everyone’s voices were just off 🙁 We’ll stick with the classics in this house. And really you can’t beat Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree or the Blustery Day so why try???

  1. I just put food in front of my daughter and she eats, the girl likes to get her grub on. My nephew on the other hand, he was a terror at meal time. That is until I started making his trains talk to him and tell him to eat. He won’t listen to bribes, pleading, or threats from someone three times his size, but a little toy train? Absolutely!

  2. In our house it usually ends up that we’ll say we can have a small treat if they finish their dinner, or watch a movie, or play a game… you get the idea. But it usually works out that my 4 year old son finishes and gets the treat or to do the chosen activity and then all of a sudden my 2 year old will gobble down her dinner. She just has to do everything her older brother does

  3. You could try what I do. My little one loves birds, so we got some plastic figurines and lined them up in front of her at meal times. One for birdie, one for her and the plate is finished in no time!

  4. I always told my kids that the food on their plate was not for them to eat, but for me to look at. Then I looked away. They gobbled it up while I wasn’t looking.

  5. We were disappointed too! We couldn’t make it through the whole thing. It was our little one’s first movie at a theatre and it was a little to slow for her. She was pretty much done after the short about the dragon before the movie started. Voices were definitely off.
