Bahama Mama Sew Along: Day 6

It’s the final stretch!

BHDay6ReCap

If you have been participating in the Sew Along as scheduled, you should be finished with your suit! Congratulations! If ‘life happened’, today is your day to play catch up and complete your sewing. Why? PRIZES!

Part of the fun of sewing is SHARING what you have made! Peek A Boo fans love to see what others have made: to oooh and aaaah over a unique piece, to admire technique, to learn, to be inspired! And great images help showcase your hard work best … and get you entered in the Bahama Mama Sew Along giveaway!

So it’s PICTURE DAY!

Please take a picture of your finished swim suit and post your favorite  in the facebook group (the image doesn’t have to be elaborate or ‘perfect’, and flat-lays are fine since not everyone will feel comfortable taking pictures in a swimsuit – I know I didn’t, although I am glad I did). You will have an opportunity to WIN a $20 store credit for purchases at Peek A Boo Patternshopnew patterns or more fabric and notions, your choice!

If interested, here are some links for PAB posts that will help build your skills and confidence as a photographer. And here’s a secret: you don’t need a new, fancy camera to take better pictures; use what you have and focus on lighting, composition, and posing.

And remember…have FUN! Choose an interesting location, buy a new prop (sunglasses or hat or flip flops – even a cute bangle bracelet), and be BOLD (yes, even in a swim suit because you look FABULOUS in your new suit)!

THANK YOU for sewing along! I hope you learned some new skills, improved existing skills, or were simply encouraged to actually finish a suit in a week!

And look at you … ready for summer and it’s only April!
