Jungle Birthday Party

Last month our little monkey turned 1! We kept our party super simple since it was just a family party. 1st stop was the Dollar Tree to decide on a theme. After talking Anne out of princess we decided to have a Jungle Birthday Party. I picked up cups, plates, napkins, party hats, and party blowers and then laid down some fun fabric with the same colors to cover our card table since I forgot to grab a table cloth. I hope you get some ideas for your own party!
To go with our jungle theme I made monkey cupcakes! These were seriously so easy and turned out really cute. For the face you use Nilla Wafers, Mini Nilla Wafers, decorating gel and chocolate chips.
I bet you can tell which face Anne decorated 🙂
To jazz up his high chair a bit I just added a few streamers
The verdict from the birthday boy…
It was a big hit!

  1. how cute!!!! If my daughter’s birthday wasn’t in the hot summer time, I would like to throw her a sock monkey inspired party, since she loves hers, I even dress her up as a sock monkey for Carnival… instead, we’ll have a garden ladybug one.
